My name is Filip Jirouš and I am a China risk analyst based in Prague, Czech Republic. In business consulting, I focus on China-related sanctions risks such as undisclosed state control, military ties, forced labour, and other human rights violations that could translate into supply chain disruptions, PR liability, and other damage.

I also help NGOs, the media, and government agencies with investigations into controversial PRC political ties, China-related policy compliance, and other types of background checks.

Prior to consulting, I was a researcher at Sinopsis, a China-focused think tank based in Prague, analyzing PRC political influence in the Czech Republic and Europe. Main areas of my focus have included dual-use technology abuse risks, influence operations, party and state bureaucracy, and propaganda. I am fluent in Chinese and graduated in Sinology from Charles University.
